No visitors allowed to "protect" the patients. However, my mother caught cover-19 from their staff who brought this horrible virus to the facility by not following basic PPE guidelines. My mother suffered and died alone in the hospital due to their negligence and COVID-19 restrictions. This facility staffs the bare minimum to get by all to make money. He’s walking a whole lot better now. He was there for acute rehab and got over 3 hours of therapy every day. I just loved everything about it. Most of the time when you call, they are there when you ring your buzzer. They were prompt, very courteous, and friendly. This is the best home around anywhere, as far as I'm concerned. It's just got tons of activities and all kinds of things. The maintenance people are so nice. They have all kinds of activities. Every week they put on stuff and activities.
We were only there a short time, but the place was extremely clean. Everybody was extremely friendly, not just the residents, but the staff we had contact with too. The staff was very nice, over the top, willing to take time and roam us around. They explained stuff and answered questions.

So they are planning to move her to Florida. My friend's daughter only stayed in this facility for like a week. My daughter is a registered nurse and she did visit her and my daughter said she should have not taken her in the facility because it was really horrible. She even saw my friend's daughter, she was sitting out smoking because it's really depressing. So they took her out of there right away.
You can go places and do things all day. My wife would probably rate it a 4. I'm in a walker, so I don't get to do too many activities.

They were very caring and they took pretty good care of her. She had no sores or anything on her, and she was happy with it. What was nice about it was, even though she was in skilled care, it’s like you have a separate room, but you don’t. They had a curtain in-between and they all had a big window in their rooms that they could look out to. All the rooms that I could see were like that so that was very, very nice for skilled care. The staff was excellent, no problem. There was a big room, and they were all playing bingo. It looked like they were having fun. We didn't look at the gym because my mother isn't interested in that kind of stuff. They have a little coffee bar in the front lobby.
I liked Lake St. Charles Retirement Community very much. The price was right, but they don't allow scooters, and I need to use a scooter. They had the best food and the best price. It wasn't fancy, but it was nice.
The nurses, CNA'S and staff are warm and eager to help. I see everyone smiling and tjey really seem to caee about the resident's needs. Delmar Gardens of Chesterfield was clean.
The way it was cut out was just perfect. I could see her being able to be pretty self-sufficient in the shower area when needed. The dining area was clean, inviting, and spacious yet personable. You could have a good conversation while eating, but you could also just sit and enjoy a meal.
