There are many areas of open space in this village, one of which is Lower Leas Coastal Park. Iconic actress June Brown recovered from the devastatingly early deaths of her husband, two young siblings and her daughter to become a television great and a national treasure.
The Home of Brown looks like it is less than half way through the generally accepted list of clues. There is no reason to believe the treasure is anywhere near the Home of Brown. But you might well conclude the HoB is somewhere not too far from the canyon downstream from where warm waters halt. We are told to ‘begin where warm waters halt, and take it in the canyon down, not far but too far to walk.

It also suggests to me, since he seems fond of Eliot’s quote, Forrest may have read other T.S. One of the reasons could be how most of us define ‘bury’. If this is the case, ‘hidden’ would be best stated because it covers all thoughts and doesn’t mislead at all. The wound on Brown's neck penetrated 1.9 cm (0.75 inches) into her cervical vertebrae, nearly decapitating her.
And not just for this hunt, but for any that I work on. Realize, I’m just sharing thoughts on a never-ending journey. Across education, research, service, community engagement and the economy, Brown is deeply intertwined with the city we call home.

She also had defensive wounds on her hands. At the time of her death, Brown resided at 875 South Bundy Drive in Brentwood, Los Angeles, California, with her two children. On the evening of Sunday, June 12, 1994, Brown, aged 35, was stabbed to death outside her home, along with 25-year-old restaurant waiter Ron Goldman. So the home of Brown cannot be the place of brown trout or brown trees or brown sand or brown anything. Brown is capitalized and with good reason - because it is the marker of a specific thing, allowing us to continue forward in confidence while on this modern day treasure hunt. WWWH – Not far, but too far to walk – HOB – No place for the meek?? Just like most of the things he also says that we all consider of any help. 🙂 And he architected it in such a way that we WILL get frustrated over and over, although also enjoying the thrill of the chase, before we ever get close, …..most likely.

As I've mentioned before, I'm totally happy with my lot in life and so though $1,000,000 would be nice, it's the challenge I like more. However, you would not believe how much I struggled with revealing my personal interpretation of the home of Brown. Because I think it fits too freaking well and I won't be able to go search in the mountains of Wyoming myself...meaning I am potentially giving up $1,000,000. But I take solace in the fact that the second half of the poem is even more difficult and requires on the ground searching, so here it is anyway. This is what I think the home of Brown really means.
However, if you look closely at the painting, you can make out New Mexico, Colorado, and Wyoming. Brown is a persons last name, they live on carson rd. and where warm waters halt. There is a Jack Loeffler, Forrest Fenn connection if you dig deep enough, but I don’t believe it will help with locating the chest.
Then the next thought is “Put in below the home of Brown.” It seems it almost make those statements unrelated. I like the thought but I think if HOB is also the hide spot then the searcher is presented with a chicken-egg type paradox. In other words, how do you follow the direction “Put in below…” if you have to know before hand where the treasure has been placed.
Logically applying this to brown trout he could give you any stream with brown trout - nowhere close to the correct one - leading you anywhere. Forrest Fenn is suspected of being a freemason member by some of us treasure hunters. Though I don't believe nor disbelieve this, it got me researching a bit about freemasons, where I discovered that a Freemason meeting is called a lodge. So on this theory, I began researching everything down river of Devil's Gate to see if there was a connection between something close to Sweetwater River and lo and behold I came across Independence Rock.
The mystery of Fenn’s treasure continues to interest people even though he said it was found several weeks ago. And as so many of us have learned, be prepared to come away empty handed. Also be prepared to have an armful of gold, if you are “the one”. “May your trails be crooked, winding, lonesome, dangerous, leading to the most amazing view. May your mountains rise into and above the clouds.

Local golfing, historic sites, and natural beauty also draw visitors to the region. Regardless, "Home of Brown" remains one of the most famous paintings in American history. It was done just months before Caperton Morton died at the age of 36. She is said to have taken her death very hard and spent the rest of her life mourning her lost love. Furthermore, the location specified in the poem has been disputed since its publication in 1831.
Many, myself included, have felt we need to ‘solve’ this home of Brown in order to move forward from ‘there’ within the poem. However, it is possible that the actual clue here is only telling us that we are ‘below the location of the treasure/or the home of Brown.’ It is the home of Brown we will ultimately discover. This made me wonder if ‘this clue’ is then found in the poem. For if a line in the poem could give the meaning ‘the treasure is buried ’, then it is very important Forrest Fenn never reveals whether it is or not. Because if he gave it as a clue, then no one would look for that clue in the poem’s understanding.
Home implies more of a residence or permanent living area and I think we need mofre to tie Grafton Brown to this area. From what I was able to tell, Brown lived mostly in San Francisco and on the East Coast. I hope this message gets posted now before the treasure is found, but it may not be possible due to time dilation and other “sciencey” things I don’t understand about time travel.
